The moon and the sun together in Libra are highlighting the call to Love, harmony and balance. At this New Moon we reflect upon: our past love relationships in our life / our current love relationship. 

At the same time Mercury, the planet of communication, is in Scorpio together with Jupiter, the planet of confidence and expansion and authenticity. This indicates there may be a need to talk and communicate deeply about our joys, our pains, our expectations in life and love. Share this and process all this in order to move through to our most authentic layers of being. 

But the most important thing about this New Moon in Libra is that it is a moment of opportunity to start a new relationship, to meet someone and initiate a new relationship. 

For those who are already in a relationship this is the opportunity to renew aspects of your relationship. 

Uranus the planet of change and new beginnings is directly opposite the sun and the moon in Libra bringing the opportunity for a new beginning, a new awakening —meeting someone new or renewing and already existing relationship. 

In the case of meeting someone new, as it is Uranus, the unexpected, the person you meet may not be exactly the way you expect. This person will bring something new, something unexpected, something different, something exciting and adventurous into your life.

The Full Moon brings the Sun in Cancer into opposition with the Moon in Capricorn, reminder to integrate the opposites such as home (Cancer) and work (Capricorn), mother and father, feelings and reason.

This Full Moon happens with the Moon joining Pluto in Capricorn, so there can be a spike in intense emotions. Just keep calm and find your "safe space". It's all part of the journey!

What are your intentions at the time of the Sun in Aries?

The days of the sun in Aries have always been considered by astrologers as a good time to create talismans and imbue amulets with the qualities of courage, celebrity and popularity. It is a time to plant the seeds of our intentions for the astrological year that starts with the Sun in Aries. We can set clear intentions and create rituals to charge our intentions. We can choose an amulet and charge it with our intentions.

We can do all of the above at any moment during the days of the sun in Aries but today I wanted to share a very specific window of opportunity that is auspicious for charging an amulet of our choice or for giving an extra boost to setting our intentions.

This time takes place on April 10, 2017, between 12:48 PM and 1:09 PM for the area of New York City and California. 

At this time the sun is in Aries and the moon is in Libra conjunct, which means together with, Jupiter which is considered a very auspicious and bountiful planet. Sun and Moon are just about to move into the full moon configuration. The rising sign for both the first house and the second house is Leo which gives an extra boost of fire nobility and passion to our new beginnings. 

How do we charge an amulet or a talisman?

There are several ways to do this. First, what is an amulet or talisman? It is a piece of jewelry or a special stone such as jade, amethyst, moonstone, etc., used for protection or to attract that which you desire, such as to kindle and awaken inside you certain qualities you wish to strengthen or develop during 2017.

At the time of the Aries Sun the qualities we usually beckon and the seeds to plant for the coming year are associated with the qualities of courage, capacity for clear action, courageousness and noble passion.

A talisman is something with you actually make, a piece of jewelry you forge and engrave with symbols. An AMULET is something you have or buy and which you value, such as a precious stone or piece of jewelry which you charge with your intentions through ritual.

So what does a ritual to charge an amulet look like?

First of all find your amulet. For example you can look for a stone or a piece of jewelry that has the stone related to the month you were born or related to your astrological sign. And you can chose an Aries stone which are usually reddish color.

Just to give you an example I will do both. I have an amethyst ring from my grandmother that is a February ring and February is the month of my birthday, and I also have a red stone pendant for Aries energy, and I will charge both with my intentions now at the time of the Aries Sun.

So if you wish to connect to the Aries qualities you'll probably look for stones that are red or reddish in color.

Then prepare in advance what you want to say/intend at the time of the ritual.

On the day of the ritual, place the amulet in front of you. If possible create ritual space by bringing in the 4 elements: salt for Earth, incense for Air, a candle for Fire and water for Water. If you are at work or out in the city, use the power of your imagination.

Then place your hands over the amulet, visualize a bright light from above pouring into the amulet - like the light of the Sun pouring into it- speak the words of your intentions (out loud or inwardly) find an ending, such as "I declare this amulet charged with these energies". End the ritual. 

Keep the amulet at hand during this astrological year!!!
